New Curtains for the bedroom
I was in the fabric store the other day and came across this really cute fabric. It was one that just popped out at me as I was walking by. So I decided I would like them for my bedroom windows. My mom helped me sew them and we got them done in just a couple of hours. I think they turned out really cute. I am going to get new shades to put behind them. I am going to try and make them look like suede so will post photos when I am done with that. Here is what the curtains look like. What do you think?

Eggs!
So my chickens have been hiding their eggs from me for a bit. When I was sick yesterday my friend Mary and her husband Jack came over to feed the evening feeding for me. Jack was putting up the chickens in the coop and came across a big pile of eggs. There was 25 eggs. Can you believe they were all still okay. Thank goodness because we were running out of eggs for breakfast. I came across this little egg this evening by our big stack of hay in our old barn. I can image which chicken layed it because they are all older hens. Look how little it looks next to the normal size egg.

Ruby
I can't believe that in November it will be a year since Ruby was born. Wow, how the time just flies by. She was our first baby to be born that time of the year. Usually are babies come around Feb. or March but not Ruby. It was actually kinda nice to have her born around that time(Nov.) here in Texas. Here are a few photos of her from then and now. Isn't she just beautiful. I wish I could keep her but I can't keep them all.

Cakes!
So I tried my hand at making cakes with fondant. They came put pretty well. My first attempt was a round cake with pink roses and then I made a square one with daisy. Tell me what you think of them.
New Boarders on the farm!
Well, we got our first boarders on the farm. Two Quarter horses that are actually a mother and her daughter. They are here for training for under saddle. Can't wait to get them started for their training. Will post photos of the later.
